What it Feels like when God Speaks

To weigh the world, to weigh nothing

Like brown, crackly things springing with green life

A deep breath of oxygen, a crinkly smile

Floating in a northwood lake in July

A cooling breeze

A tight hug after a difficult conversation

Unabridged peace

Recently I was distressed about something over which I have no control, and in the middle of the heaviness a flash of light landed on my conscious and a voice said:

"I've got this. I specialize in broken hearts."

Just in case you're wondering. God specializes in broken hearts, and He's up for any restoration project.
